Gonzaga Prep leaps into the WA State rankings at No. 5

The biggest "upset" last week was Gonzaga Prep's 77-57 romp over Lewis and Clark, which had been ranked No. 2 all season. I was more surprised by the size of the victory than the victory itself. When I was working on the preseason rankings, L-C coach Jim Redmon said he though GP would be a contender. Lindsay Stockton, a 5-6 junior point guard, erupted for a career-high 26 points in the game. Lady Pups Sink Winless Pirates

The Pups (6-0) cruised to start the third quarter with a 36-4 lead and then advance their lead in the fourth quarter. Katie Tragesar led the reserved players with 8 points.
