Mt.Spokane came out fired up and scored on their first drive to take an
early
7-0 lead, but the Pups responded by coming back to score 28 unanswered points
and then went on to beat the Wildcats 35 - 19.
Prep's
Jeremy Condon
scored from the 4-yard-line after a low punt snap by Mt. Spokane. In the second period a
seven-play drive culminated in Bryan Karwacki throwing a touchdown pass to
Travis Long,
the first of three 13-yard scores by Gonzaga.
Defensively Aaron Page had an interception and shortly later Karwacki hit
Connor Payton
in the back of the end zone to increase Prep's lead by 14. On the first set of downs in
the third-period, Karwacki scored from 13 yards.
In the fourth quarter Karwacki dashed off his left offensive tackle and danced
his way into the end-zone from the 13 yard line. Condon finished the scoring in
the fourth quarter with a 4 yard TD run.
The Bullpups ran for 294 yards, the bulk of the running yardage came from
Karwacki, Brian Lee and Jeremy Condon. Karwacki was 5-13 passing with one
interception.
