Ground Pups Out Run Moses Lake
45-21

Gonzaga Prep, the GSL third seed team brought
the hammer down early on Moses Lake Friday
night in a 45-21 romp
in a cross-over playoff game. Prep scored touchdowns on their
first four possessions and Chase Winkler kicked a 29
field goal to take a 31-14 lead at the intermission mark.
In the second half the Pups offense scored additional 14 points
to give the host team another loss to a Greater Spokane League
team.

The Gonzaga Prep's high power offense out rushed
their opponent 468 yards to 108. Leading the ground attack
for the Pups were John Lampert with 152 yards on 24
carries and Travis Long with 136 yards on 9 carries.
Senior QB David Stockton
was the glue that held the
offense together with 88 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
Most importantly the Pups didn't turnover the ball once during a
cold and damp night in Moses Lake.

For the second consecutive year the Pups will stay home during
the State playoffs while wondering if they aren't one of the
best teams in the State. This season G-Prep have outscored their opponents
332-148.
